In vitro study | um729 expands normal hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPC) in an AhR-independent manner, UM729 inhibits AML cell differentiation. In 05H163 cells, the addition of UM729 increased the number of CD34 cd15-cells compared to AhR inhibitors (flavonoids, benzothiophene, and β-carboline) alone. UM729 can be combined with AhR antagonists to inhibit most of the AML cell differentiation. |
In vivo study | In NSG mice, UM729 alone or in combination with SR1 increased engraftment but not leukemic stem cell (LSC) frequency distribution. |
biological activity | UM729 is an enhancer of aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) antagonists. |
